Today’s teenagers abusing ‘legal’ drugs like glue, stimulants and booze - IPPR
Glue sniffing amongst 11 to 15 year olds has increased sevenfold over the last decade, according to new research from the Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr) to be published next week. The report says that developing social skills and strong adult role models are crucial in keeping kids off drugs, drink and cigarettes.

Cocaine continues to take toll in Palm Beach County, report says - Sun Sentinel
Palm Beach County no longer leads the state in the number of deaths caused by cocaine, according to an interim report issued Friday by Florida medical examiners. Still, the county had the most cocaine-related deaths in South Florida at 32. Broward County recorded 29 deaths and Miami-Dade County had 13, according to the report, which examines the first six months of 2006.

THOUSANDS of children are risking their lives sniffing glue and aerosols in a new epidemic of solvent abuse in schools. Research on the drug habits of young teenagers has found that while use of cannabis and class A drugs has risen slightly over seven years, the numbers sniffing glue has shot up from 28,000 to 168,000 last year.
